Because I wasn't spending enough time on the internet BEFORE...
An escaped sheep was found with 60 pounds of wool.
Shrek the sheep ran away and hid in a cave in New Zealand for 6 years. When Shrek was finally found in 2004, the sheep had gone unsheared for so long that it had accumulated 60 pounds of wool on its body, enough to make 20 suits! The sheep became famous and even got to meet the Prime Minister. Shrek finally passed away last month at the age of 16.

A few months from now, cinemas worldwide will be packed for Steven Spielberg’s long-awaited film of Michael Morpurgo’s bestseller, War Horse.
I don’t know if I’ll be able to handle it again.

A lemur which was taken home by zookeepers after an operation has made best friends with their dog. Stumpy the lemur and Pie the Labrador Collie cross met when the primate was brought home by Joy and John Palmer before Christmas to convalesce after an operation on his back leg and the two have since been inseparable. Joy, who runs Porfell Wildlife Park and Sanctuary, near Liskeard, Cornwall with John, says Pie’s paternal instincts have kicked in after he ‘adopted’ the lemur, which he is now nursing back to full health.

A baby loggerhead turtle is released into the ocean for the first time. The rescued youngster seemed to be loving his first taste of freedom after being rescued and nurtured by an expert team. Photographer Eric Cheng had been following the turtle rescue programme in Palm Beach, Florida and was able to capture the youngster’s expression as it swam into the ocean.

“Neozoon is the female art duo that takes old fur coats and turns them into street art. They start with old vintage fur coats, then proceed to cut out the shapes of different animals, which they then stick around different cities. All of the animals chosen are indigenous to the area in which they are placed, brining up questions about urbanization and the original natural surrounds.”

A European Tree Frog jumps onto a washing line, mistaking it for a branch. The frog hung on for five minutes, trying to right itself, in Miskolc, Hungary. Amateur photographer Veronika Lenarth noticed the frog dangling from her back garden washing line and started taking snaps. One picture shows the determined croaker hanging two metres above the ground from just one arm - like a musclebound gym-goer doing a chin-up.
